"Versatile, High-Precision Specialist Tool
This system features the FMM 250Q, a versatile, high-precision specialist tool that's perfect for professional outfitting, renovation, and repair work. Its lightweight, ergonomic design, and powerful 250-watt motor with electronic speed control, makes the FMM 250Q ideal for sanding in tight corners.

This versatile and powerful tool features the tool-free QuickIN rapid clamping system, which means that you can change out your accessories quickly and easily without having to slow down your progress by fumbling for tools. Developed as a result of Fein's 40-year experience with oscillation technology, the FMM 250Q boasts 12,000 to 21,000 oscillations per minute and includes a 16.4-foot cord.

Universal E-Cut Blade For Base and Flooring Work
The FMM 250Q comes with several high-quality accessories, including one Fein 63502151018 Universal E-Cut Blade that's great for doorjambs, baseboards, baseboards, toe kicks, and flooring work. It's also perfect for wood, plaster, drywall, and synthetic and plastic materials. This blade features a finer tooth pattern for more control and longer blade life, and a flush cut design that allows for completely perpendicular cuts to flooring tight areas.

Rigid Scraper and Segmented Blades For Tough Jobs
For tough jobs like lifting linoleum, carpet, adhesive residue, scale, paint, and tape, choose the Fein 63903178017 Rigid Scraper Blade, which can be re-sharpened for longer blade life. This system also includes the efficient Fein 63502106015 HSS Segmented Blade for fiberglass, carbon fiber, 20 gauge sheet metal, and harder woods. Segmented to cut right angles without over cutting, this flat, high-speed steel blade performs straight cutting in harder material, and can cut into corners with right angles.

The system also includes one Fein 63502118016 Carbide-Tip Blade for cutting out damaged tile joints and for carving out grooves in plaster, porous concrete and similar construction materials. A Fein 63731001014 Carbide Rasp allows for rough grinding of filler, tile adhesives, concrete, stone, and wood, and may be used with or without the included Fein 92602081010 Dust Extraction Kit.

Finally, to make sure final results are smooth, the FMM 250Q Top includes several sheets of sandpaper in different grains, as well as a Fein 63806183029 Profile Sanding Pad.

The FMM 250Q Top comes with a one-year warranty."

First Class as usual!

This company makes first class made tools. There appear to be no short cuts on quality. This is the third generation of this tool that I am aware of - first tool 150watts - second 180w -- this and third 250w. This tool is very powerful and smooth. Still my favorite is the first 636-1. It is well powered, smaller and super smooth. This model has a wonderful blade change system ( non slip blade mount) like some of their higher priced tools. The usefulness and operation of this system have always been phenomenal! The newer tools are more powerful but the original tool has no trouble performing any job and causes a lot less body fatigue - that is why it is my favorite. I own the first and the latest generation of this tool.

I LOVE this tool. A No-Brainer and a Favorite

I LOVE this tool. I just upgraded from the previous model (MSXE 636-2 variable speed). I won't go into why this tool is so great because everyone else has already done that. Instead I'm going to compare this tool to its predecessor.

PROS:
This is now a perfect tool. Fein has elegantly fixed the minor gripes I had with the previous generation of the tool. My gripes were 1. Blades slipping and 2. Slow blade-changes using the awkward hex-key that always felt like it was about to cam-out and ruin the lock nut. Both issues have been neatly resolved by the new design. The new star shank on the blades completely eliminates any possibility of slippage, and changing blade, or repositioning it to get into a tight spot no longer requires a trip back to the tool box to get the hex wrench. I LOVE this feature. FEIN ALSO ADDED threaded holes on the body of the tool which function as hard-mount points. This allows you to attach small accessories such as a fence, a depth gauge, a rail guide etc. You can also use the hard-mount points to bench-mount the tool (so you can bring small or delectate work to the tool). This opens up a lot of flexibility on an already very flexible tool. I also like the more ergonomic shape and rubber grip on the new design.

CONS:
None to speak of. The new machine is a tiny bit louder than the old one, perhaps due to the more powerful motor, although it's louder even on the lowest speed setting. To be honest I'm just trying to find SOMETHING to say on the con side. It's really a perfect tool.

Awesome tool

This is an expensive tool with expensive accessories, but in my opinion well worth it. I am an auto mechanic by trade and a homeowner that loves and appreciates quality time saving tools. Since my purchase 2 months ago I have used this tool to pattern cut and install a bath surround, cut and install plastic molding(using a simple adjustable square),trimmed out paneling while on the wall, removed a glued vinyl bathroom floor (with ease), plunge cut and removed damaged soffit material( with such precision that the removed wood could be used as a pattern for the new replacement wood)and scrape old paint off my house corners and soffits. I am very impressed with the tool quality and ease of changing attachments. The profile sanding attachment works good. The storage box could be of better quality but it serves it's purpose. If I were to purchase this again I would probably buy a bare bones kit and choose my accessories seperately. I have some attachments I will probably never use and would gladly trade for more wood and metal cutting blades. Hope this helps you out!

Multimaster works

This tool is still new, but so far works well. It clearly does jobs no other type of tool does. The build quality of the tool is excellent. I did not seat a triangular sanding pad right, and it chewed up the sanding pad mount. This was my fault. It is easy to mount it correctly. I have been unable to find after-market parts to fit the Fein multimaster. I will keep looking. The build quality of the Fein accessories is excellent, but I like competition. These accessories will remain overpriced until there is after market competition.
